This wire ladder manufactured by Lyon Equipment is a popular ladder in the range. The ladder is both durable and versatile offering increased corrosion resistance particularly in marine enviroments.
Rungs are secured to the side wire ropes with pins and resin. A pin is driven through the centre of the rope into the dowel, and set in resin to form a solid block inside the rung. A plastic cap is then pushed in to seal the rung end. The black rungs of this wire ladder are cut to size and drilled before treatment to ensure that the alloy tube is 100% anodised.
All ladders are terminated, top and bottom, with swaged eyes on the stainless steel side wire ropes. Ladders weigh 2.6 kg with 25cm rung spacing, and 2.4 kg at 30 cm rung spacing. Weights are for 10 metre ladders with no maillons.

Breaking loads of flexible ladders are equivalent to the side wire ropes used. karabiners or maillons for fixed applications are required for linking ladders or connecting to top anchor. Normally supplied with wire rope ends with swaged eyes which, when ladders are joined, gives correct rung spacing between last rung of one ladder and first rung of next. A 10m 30cm rung spaced ladder is available with a single attachment point at the top. (LADDERS ARE NOT PPE, and must always be used with a saftey back up system. They are not suitable for emergency escape.)
