The Petzl Tibloc is an emergency rope clamp for ascending ropes or as part of a progress capture hauling system. This device is extreamly compact and light weight. The teeth on the Petzl Tibloc will still bite into the sheath of dirty and icy ropes. The Tibloc also has a cleaning slot cut into the biting area of the device to reduce the build up of dirt or ice.

The Petzl Tibloc is designed to be used with round or oval cross section locking karabiners.
