The most popular descender used in industry. Its easy to use and allows the user to make controlled descents and allows hands free stops to be made. The Petzl Stop also features a swinging side plate with clip to reduce the risk of dropping the device. The Petzl Stop is also available in a black version.
Self-braking descender for single rope
Self-braking system operates when the handle is released.
The rate of descent is controlled by varying the grip on the free end of the rope.
Rope climbing is possible without changing the position of the STOP by adding a foot loop and a handled rope clamp / grab.
Spring clip allows the rope to be inserted without removing the STOP from the harness.
Replaceable cam and friction bobbin.
