The Petzl Microcender is a lightweight and compact rope grab/clamp. This device is intended for use as a back-up belay on fixed lines or as part of a progress capture pulley system for hauling heavy loads. Slides easily up the rope and down the rope when the cam is prevented from engaging. If the device is subject to an impact force or overloading the rope may slip through the device. This rope grab has a locking pin that helps to resist accidental disconnection of the device from the rope.
