A useful device to use when hauling etc as it allows the system to be reversible. The Gri Gri is also useful for reducing pressure on fixed anchors.

For work positioning on inclined surfaces and for switching between short ascents and descents on a rope.
- Simple to use:
- control the rope running through the device by varying the grip on the free end of the rope.
- use the handle to unlock the rope
- self-braking system: if the handle is released during descent, the cam rotates to pinch the rope and brake the user's descent.
- ascending the rope is possible without changing the position of the device: simply add a footloop and a handled rope clamp / grab.
- Allows for belaying a leader or second. If a fall occurs, device facilitates braking.
