The new family of Petzl FALCON harnesses is designed for rescue professionals in firefighting, mountain rescue,
technical rescue, etc. Petzl has created three harnesses to specifically respond to the requirements of each of
these activities. Petzl has designed a particularly light and comfortable waistbelt and leg loops for the Petzl FALCON
harnesses in order to facilitate mobility when walking, horizontal movements during suspension, etc. This
belt is equipped with attachment points for different types of activities: ventral attachment point, attachment
bridge, low attachment point. All Petzl FALCON harnesses have a rear buckle which allows a chest harness to be
attached when winching a load up to a helicopter or for ascending a rope, for example. All Petzl FALCON harnesses
are equipped to maximize functionality for rescue professionals: multiple attachment points, soft or rigid tool
holders, slots for Petzl CARITOOL tool holder.
- Waistbelt and suspension seat lined with breathable
perforated foam for maximum comfort
- Two-part ventral attachment point increases the
efficiency of rope ascents when using a Petzl CROLL
- Textile lateral attachment points for occasional use
- Rear attachment buckle for connecting a Petzl CROLL
ventral rope clamp using a SECUR shoulder strap or
a Petzl TOP CROLL chest harness
- Waistbelt and leg loops equipped with two selflocking
DoubleBack buckles
- Four equipment loops:
Two large rigid ones in front
For easy access to gear and two small flexible ones
in back that will not interfere with wearing a backpack
- Two slots for Petzl CARITOOL tool holder
Please note that the (required) Omni Lock karabiner shown in the above image is an optional extra.
"This harness is ideal for IRATA level 3 technicians who are rigging ropes, lead climbing, and taking on a more
supervisory role. When used in conjunction with the Petzl Top Croll the lower
attachment point on the front of the harness allows sevral inches extra progression for each step of ascent. This feature offers faster and less time consuming long ascents.
The reduced bulk of this harness makes lead climbing far less restrictive when compared with standard access harnesses."
