SKED200 BASIC RESCUE SYSTEM

The original and still the best solution for confined space, high angle or technical rescue, and traditional land based applications, the Sked® stretcher is a revolutionary design which provides outstanding patient protection and security. The Sked® comes equipped for horizontal hoisting by helicopter or vertical hoisting in caves or industrial confined spaces. When the patient is packaged the stretcher becomes rigid. The durable plastic provides protection for the patient while allowing extrication through the most demanding confined spaces. The stretcher is rolled for storage in a tough cordura backpack which is included with the system. The system ships at 19 lbs and comes complete for most applications. Available in International Orange or O.D. Green for military, S.W.A.T. and other tactical situations. Made in USA.

The Sked® Stretcher
The stretcher is fabricated from a special plastic formula which is both flexible and durable. Securing straps with steel buckles are sewn into the stretcher through brass grommets which contribute to the strength and durability.

Cordura backpack/Towing Harness
This durable backpack includes shoulder straps and pockets for storing the Sked® accessories when not in use.

Horizontal Lift Slings
A pair of 9,000 lb. tensile strength slings are provide for hoisting the Sked® stretcher with a helicopter or other haul system in a horizontal position.

Vertical Lift Sling
For vertical lifting of the Sked®, 30 ft. of 3/8" PMI kernmantle rescue rope, with a minimum break strength of 5,265 lbs., is provided with a figure 8 knot in the middle.

Steel Locking 'D' Karabiner
The karabiners are not included for sale in the UK market as they are not CE marked.

Tow Strap
This 6 foot strap with bronze snap hooks on each end attaches the Sked® stretcher to the backpack, creating a useful towing harness which can be used in several configurations for towing the Sked® by one or more people.

Removable Webbing Handles
In addition to the four handles sewn permanently into the Sked®
stretcher, four additional removable handles are provided to allow the Sked to be carried by up to 8 rescuers.

SKED600 Flotation System

This flotation kit can be added to the SKED stretcher to give the patient buoyancy during a range of rescue situations.

Design

The Titan Split-Tapered Basket Stretcher is an all-stainless, TIG-welded frame construction basket stretcher. It relies on its frame geometry, construction methods and materials for its ultimate strength.
The unique Split-Apart feature allows for a completely solid connection between the two parts of the stretcher, without the use of pins or tubes sliding into each other. It also allows for a quick and easy visual check to ensure connections are secure throughout an operation. This system of connection allows the stretcher to be assembled or un-assembled in about 15 seconds All of the Titan Series Basket Stretchers are designed to surpass the US Military’s MIL-L-37957A, January 24, 1992 specification, in terms of its’ strength but not in its’ design. All testing has been completed at an independent facility, and are proven to surpass this specification. The Titan Series Basket Stretchers are specifically designed to perform in a technical rescue environment. The materials allow it to survive in almost all conditions, while the design itself allows for a user-friendly platform from which to work.
Unique features include a 25.4mm (1 inch) top-tube to make it easy to hold onto relative to smaller-tube frames. It also comes with four StrātLoad™ Connectors that make it quick, easy and safer to clip your Litter Bridle into. These connection points protect the carabiner from wall and rock faces etc. The Durathene netting allows water and air to easily pass through the patient compartment, yet the small holes keep from snagging debris as easily. The Durathene material will not rust and potentially cause additional harm to your patient, and they are attached with shock cord so they will give-way when loads
are improperly placed on it.
Tested to and beyond a 1,134 kg (2500 lb.) static load test threshold, users can be ultimately confident in their use of the Titan Series Baskets Stretchers.

Simple, quick to use 20M rescue kit, using a ‘cut’ rescue to lower a suspended casualty to the ground using 11mm low stretch kernmantel rope and an Anthron Descender. Comes complete with P+P large double action snap hook for attachment to the scaffold and captive eye kwiklok karabiner for attachment to casualty.

This system is designed for the rescue of an injured person from towers, masts or other similar structures where the rescuer needs to access the injured person and then together descend to a position of safety. The mechanism has a double action brake which is easy to operate and comes complete with 65m of Kernmantle rope in a Tackle Bag.
